Attribution ledger

A purchase is commissioned in exactly two cases: you engaged with a specific card the agent put in front of you and bought that card within 7 days, or you arrived from a text or an email the agent sent and bought in that same session. This page computes your own ledger live, in this browser, from your demo activity: nothing here is invented, and a line with no recorded evidence simply is not attributed.

Your ledger

The two categories

Both categories carry the same 1.5% commission. Everything else is not attributed.

Category 1
Exact-card purchase

The agent surfaced a specific card, you engaged with that recommendation, and you bought that card within 7 days. Engagement is a real action on that card: you opened the card's page from the agent, the agent added it to your cart, the agent placed or staged a bid on it, or a watcher was armed on it. A bid under $200 goes in without an Approve card, and that still counts as engagement: the ledger line below says which of the two it was. You do not have to buy on the spot: close the tab, sleep on it, come back next week, and it still counts as long as the purchase lands inside those 7 days. Any grade or condition of the card counts: on Misprint each grade is a separate order book of the same card, so buying the PSA 9 of a card the agent surfaced as a PSA 10 still counts. The clearest case is an agent-completed checkout, where the agent staged the order and nothing was placed until you tapped Approve; those lines carry the Agent-completed label in the ledger above.

Category 2
External-channel arrival

The agent reached you on an external channel (a text or an email), you tapped through into Misprint from that message, and you purchased something in that same session. This one has no window, and the two categories differ on purpose: engaging with a specific card is durable evidence that the agent picked that card for you, so it holds for 7 days, while an arrival is evidence of a single session's journey and ends when that session does. The evidence is the arrival itself: card links in agent texts and result links in agent emails both carry a handoff token minted when the message was sent, and this browser records the moment a session starts from one, along with which channel it came from. No recorded arrival means no category 2.

Never attributed
  • Passive impressions and mere mentions: a card shown in a rail, a results page, or a conversation you never clicked on.
  • A different card than the one you engaged with, at any age. If the agent showed one card and you bought another, that line is not commissioned (unless you arrived from an agent text or email that session, which is category 2).
  • Engagement that has gone stale. Seven days is the whole boundary for category 1: an engagement older than that does not attribute the purchase, and the ledger says so on the line instead of stretching it. Category 2 has no window at all: once you leave the session you arrived in, the arrival stops counting.
  • Related-card chains: the agent surfacing a card similar to one you later bought.
  • Support, account, and policy conversations.
  • Alerts, texts, and emails that were sent but never clicked.

In production

  • Every commissioned line is backed by the conversation log that produced it, so any line can be traced to what the agent actually said and did.
  • Misprint has a 10-business-day window to flag any line on a statement before it is settled.
  • At day 90, attribution is recalibrated against actuals and the categories are re-scored with the full data.

This demo keeps the same rules but runs entirely in your browser: orders and agent activity live in localStorage, and the classification above reads only what was actually recorded. See also the quality report.
